Simon Quick Opens Doors In Rocky Mountain Region
By Brannon Fisher
Joining Simon Quick Advisors and establishing the firm’s Rocky Mountain presence has been one of the most exciting things I’ve done in my career. When I came to know the firm, I was impressed with the vision: to create true alignment with clients. It’s an approach that is rarely executed successfully in the wealth management industry, and I am honored to make it available to clients in Denver and its surrounding communities.
Lead Up
My professional background is hardly conventional for a financial advisor. I graduated from Colgate University with a bachelor’s degree, went on to earn a Master’s in Education from CU-Boulder, and eventually received an MBA from Dominican University of California. I used my education background and leadership skills to build a successful career as a college administrator. Then, as a gradual step to becoming a financial advisor, I worked as director of client relations and a registered investment advisor representative at a Denver-based asset management firm.
When I worked in college fundraising, I came to love the relationships I developed with donors, and I enjoyed walking with them through life. I also developed a strong interest in the complex interpersonal dynamics involved in families with multi-generation wealth. Finances are stressful on a good day; I wanted to help these families thrive and experience the relief that comes from having effective financial planning in place. With all of that running through my head, I took a career leap and became a financial advisor.
My Role Today
Now, I am a Director and Client Advisor at Simon Quick Advisors. I was drawn to the firm’s strong culture of client service, extensive investment research capabilities, and its development of proprietary technology. I feel privileged to be part of a skilled, experienced and passionate client advisor team.
I am responsible for developing new relationships in the Rocky Mountain region as well as servicing the high-net-worth families and individuals who are already clients. Some of my clients have known me for years outside of financial planning, while others have known the firm longer than they’ve known me. Additionally, a key part of my role is to source new client relationships. I strive to uphold the Core Values and standards of the firm and carry forward Simon Quick Advisors’ vision and reputation. Regardless of who I work with, I take the time to learn about their life and what inspires them, what matters to them, and what worries them so that I can play a small part in helping them achieve their goals.
Challenges And Triumphs
Every job has its highs and lows, and since finances deeply impact the well-being of our lives, any job in the financial field will have its challenges. My clients place a lot of trust in me, so my client advisor colleagues and I think carefully and critically about the advice we give and the planning strategies we employ. The challenge comes in finding the balance between being diligent and deliberate while still delivering responsive service.
At the end of the day, it is incredibly fulfilling when someone I respect deeply, whether for their talents, accomplishments, or how they live their life, trusts me and my team to partner with them to manage their wealth. I work hard every day to make my clients and colleagues proud and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
