Mark Accomando

Mark Accomando is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with a rich history of fostering growth and innovation across various industries. Born and raised on Long Island in a family business environment, Mark developed a deep understanding of the intricacies of privately held businesses, learning the critical importance of investment, technology decisions, and their long-term impacts.

After spearheading a successful sale of his company, Mark pursued further education at the University of Notre Dame, where he helped launch Heartland Ventures. At Heartland, Mark led all internal operations as well as new investments and portfolio support, ultimately aligning his portfolio companies with established industrial corporations to drive mutual growth and innovation.

Before Heartland Ventures, Mark honed his skills in diverse roles, including leading Sceptre as Vice President, where he managed international sales and operations, and exploring hospitality management with Ritz Carlton in Ireland, logistics in New York, and marketing for Tyson Foods in Chicago. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College, an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, and serves as a board member for six different technology companies.

Mark’s journey through entrepreneurship is marked by both successes and valuable lessons learned from failures, particularly in areas like vision clarity, execution, and team dynamics. His introduction to the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) significantly shaped his approach, enabling him to support businesses in achieving their full potential.

Today, Mark’s mission is to help entrepreneurs build remarkable organizations while living better lives.
