
Vaughn Crowe

Biography
Vaughn Crowe is a Managing Partner at Newark Venture Partners. Prior to joining Newark Venture Partners, Vaughn served as Managing Director at Wesray Social Investments, the investment arm of Ray Chambers’ family office. While at Wesray Social, Vaughn led direct and LP investments and served on a three-person investment committee, where he worked with companies at every stage, including seed, series A, growth, and buyout. In addition to his investment responsibilities, Vaughn served as Executive Chairman of a portfolio company which, under his leadership, experienced the most profitable year in the company’s 55-year history.
Vaughn was born and raised in Newark, NJ. He attended Weequahic High School and then attended Colgate University where he earned a BA in Political Science with a minor in African-American Studies. Vaughn currently serves as Vice Chair of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, a RWJ Barnabas Hospital and New Jersey State Investment Council, the governing structure for the State’s $100b+ pension assets.
Vaughn enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, reading and listening to audio books, and watching sports competition – basketball, football, baseball, hockey, and soccer.
