Biography
Mr. Quick founded Simon Quick Advisors in 2004 and serves on the firm’s Investment Committee. His career began in 1975 as the fourth employee of Quick & Reilly Inc., the first New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) member firm to offer discount stock brokerage to the investing public. Over his 28-year tenure, he served in numerous leadership roles and was instrumental in building the firm’s branch network, developing a major clearing platform, acquiring and running a major NASDAQ market-making firm, completing numerous acquisitions of NYSE specialist firms, and pioneering one of the industry’s first electronic trading platforms. He also served as company liaison during the firm’s public offering and listing on the NYSE in 1983. Mr. Quick concluded his tenure as Chairman of Fleet Securities, Inc. in 2003 following Fleet Bank’s acquisition of Quick & Reilly Group, Inc. in 1998.
Mr. Quick has served on numerous industry boards and committees, including the NYSE Hearing Board, the Board of Governors of the Chicago Stock Exchange, the Board of Directors of the Securities Industry Association, and NASD District Committee #10.
He is actively involved with several charitable, religious, and educational organizations. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hudson, Essex & Union Counties and is an Honorary Trustee of the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center. He is also a member of finance and investment committees for organizations including:

- Franciscan Friars of the Holy Name Province
- Bishop’s Finance Council for the Diocese of Metuchen
- Our Lady of Perpetual Help
- Order of Friars Minor (Rome, Italy)

Mr. Quick previously served as Chairman of the Campaign for the Heart at Morristown Medical Center and was a Trustee of St. Bonaventure University for 25 years, where he was named Trustee Emeritus in 2015.
Mr. Quick earned a BBA in Finance from St. Bonaventure University, which also awarded him an honorary doctorate. He is a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and the Flame of Charity’s Man of the Year award. He is also a Knight of the Holy Sepulcher, supporting Christian communities in the Holy Land.
Mr. Quick and his wife, Eileen, reside in Bernardsville, New Jersey, and enjoy spending time with their four grown children and four grandchildren.
