Simon Quick Advisors is making an addition to its new Dallas office with Justin A. Duke, CFA, as Managing Director, Client Advisor, joining colleagues Nate Ohlinger, Shei Unger, Ryan Moffett, Gregory Chappell, and Christian Yoss. Dallas has become one of the fastest-growing hubs for entrepreneurs and multigenerational wealth in the country, and the advisors serving that market are evolving with it.
“Justin represents exactly the type of advisor we want to attract, experienced, entrepreneurial and deeply committed to his clients. His decision to join Simon Quick reinforces what we believe differentiates our firm: the resources and capabilities of a sophisticated wealth management platform, combined with the independence, employee ownership, and a culture that allows advisors to serve sophisticated clients.” – Mark DeLotto, Chief Development Officer
Justin brings nearly 25 years of wealth management experience, beginning his career at Northern Trust and, most recently, BNY Wealth, where he served as a team leader in the firm’s Dallas office. Throughout his career, Justin has worked with high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and business owners navigating significant liquidity events, bringing a steady, communication-first approach to complex financial decisions.
Justin earned his CFA charter in 2005 and later spent several years as a grader of CFA Level III exams for the CFA Institute, work that speaks to the depth of his commitment to the profession. Outside of his client work, he serves as a trustee on the endowment committee of Bishop Dunne Catholic School and is an active voice in the local wealth management community, including regular speaking engagements at industry conferences.
Finding the Right Fit at Simon Quick
Justin’s decision to join Simon Quick was rooted in a search for shared values. “Simon Quick gave me something I didn’t think was possible: the resources and capabilities to serve clients at the highest level, without the constraints I’d grown used to. Being independent and employee-owned isn’t just a talking point here; it shapes how the firm actually operates and who it can serve” Justin explains.
As an employee-owned firm with no private equity involvement, Simon Quick offered the independence and long-term thinking he had been looking for, along with a depth of services, from tax coordination to estate and philanthropic planning, that enables him to serve clients more fully. Just as important, Justin found in Simon Quick a firm small enough to roll up its sleeves for clients yet resourced enough to compete with the largest institutions in the industry.
Reuniting with former colleagues who had already made the move, and who could speak firsthand about what the transition was like, made the decision an easy one. “Having worked with Justin before, I know exactly what he brings to the team. Bringing him into the fold means picking up right where we left off, and I’m excited about what we’ll be able to build for clients from here” noted Shei Unger, who previously worked alongside Justin.
Looking Ahead
Justin’s arrival marks the next chapter for a group of colleagues who are looking forward to deepening client relationships and expanding their reach across Texas.
Managing Partner, Christopher Moore adds “Justin is exactly the kind of advisor we look for, experienced, client-first, and deeply rooted in his community. He’s a great addition to our Dallas team, and his decision to join us reflects the kind of talent Simon Quick continues to attract.”
The firm’s growth in the Dallas area reflects its broader commitment to bringing sophisticated advisory services to markets where clients are increasingly seeking that type of solution.
